Hello,
I'm Susanne. . .I'm starting my blog today, Thursday, August 13.
I'm going to be writing about life as I see it. . .and that means thru the eyes of a 65-year
old female. I'm a pre-boomer. . .though not by much. But for those of us who entered the
work force in the early 60s. . .and who grew up in the 1950s. . .it seems we straddle the "greatest generation". . .and the big boomer group.
I had a career - and was among the women who fought to push the glass ceiling - or continually bump into it, I'm not sure which. Due to great good fortune, I'm no longer
in corporate America. I probably bumped up against corporate mores a few times too
often - as any woman would in the 60s,70s and even the 80s. . .and I took a lucrative
pay-out 18 years ago.
I plan to write about getting and staying healthy, getting and staying as attractive as possible, about life in the two cities I call home - Washington, DC and Fort Lauderdale, FL. I'm a midwesterner by birth - from Indiana. . .so often my outlook gets a bit skewed. . .maybe too much Kurt Vonnegut at an early age. He had an eye for the absurd - and a well developed sense of the absurd is also what will color what I write
